Thrift Store Donations

Donation Drop Off Service Requirements:

  • All hard & soft line donations are open at our donation center behind our store at the black gate.
  • Soft goods can also be dropped off at our soft goods only Blue Bin Locations.

  • *Furniture drop offs must be scheduled by email or calling (916) 972-1212.
     

Donation Pick up Service Requirements: 
Please email pictures of your furniture donations, along with your name, address, and phone number. Our pick up is a curbside only free pick-up and we cannot go up stairs.

The SVdP Thrift Store transportation pick-up and delivery truck runs 5 days a week (Sun- Thurs). Operating hours are weekdays: 10am – 4:30pm & Weekends: 11am-5:30pm. 

 

Email us today to get your lightly used items picked up at no charge to you. Once the email has been received a member of the transportation team will contact you the next day. The average pick-up wait time is 3 days. We pick up most furniture items, clothing, and other household goods. Please read below for restrictions. Restrictions do change according to the volume of donations; please contact the store for updates 916-972-1212.

Items we do NOT accept (not limited to): 

Any Items With:

  • Missing Parts/Structural Damage

  • Severe Rips/Stains/Soiled/Subjected To Cigarette Smoke/Pet Odor/Pet Hair/Pet Damage

  • Can Pose A Safety/Sanitary Concern

  • Built In Appliances

  • Metal Filing Cabinets Or Metal Desks

  • Lighting Requiring Direct Connection Paint Or Other Toxic Materials

  • Carpeting Or Remnants

  • Exercise Equipment

  • Golf Clubs

  • Anything That Holds A Child

  • Firearms Or Weapons Of Any Kind

  • Encyclopedias Or Large Volume Reference Books

  • Mattresses Or Box Springs (Unless New In Wrapping-Requires Management Approval!!)

  • Non Flat Screen TVs / Tube TVs Computers, Monitors, Keyboards, CPUs, Office Copiers

  • Any Items That Have Been Exposed To The Elements Or Pose A Safety/Sanitary Concern.

  • Due To Limited Space: Plastic Ware, Toys, Stuffed Animals And Medical Equipment. Old TV Armoires - Only Armoires For Storage, Not For TVs.

  • No stairs

  • all items are inspected on site and may be rejected

(ALL DONATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE TRANSPORTATION TEAM) If a pick up is scheduled and driver arrives to find the items are not in acceptable or sellable condition, you could be responsible for the transportation fee of $25, therefore please make sure upon scheduling your pick up that your items are in good condition and meet the above criteria.
